First stop: Driving over beautiful 84 to Ano Nuevo State Reserve where we ate a picnic breakfast. Then, it was time to go hiking to see the Elephant Seals.
Katie took this picture of the Elephant Seals fighting. I would not want to be an Elephant Seal. Especially a girl Elephant Seal, they spend their life mating, getting pregnant, having a baby, molting, mating, getting pregnant, molting......ugh!Cameron drawing in the sand as we all watched the Elephant Seals.Group shot on our hike back to Katie's car!
Second Stop: A Kiwi farm! We found a Kiwi farm along Highway 1 and decided to check it out. We hiked over to the Kiwi trees and filled a bucket to take home!
Cameron pulling our wagon and bucket to go pick the kiwis!Yum! Kiwi's right off of the tree! The kiwi bucket we filled.Successful trip at the Kiwi farm!
Third Stop: Swanton Berry Farms on Highway 1. It's a cute little farmstand where they grow their own strawberries, and sell homemade jams, pies, shortcakes, and lots of other goodies! We went and sampled their jams and ate a picnic lunch that Katie packed.
Fourth Stop: Natural Bridges State Beach where we went and looked for Monarch Butterflies. We also listened in on a class all about tide pools and the different creatures you will find in them!
