Cameron's Heart

I love Cameron. This sweet boy's heart is so big. Sometimes He is the one teaching me things. On Saturday night we went to San Francisco with some friends and walked around the warf and pier 39. At the end of the night, we stopped at in-n-out along the warf for dinner. There was a homeless man outside sitting on the ground asking everyone who walked by for money or food. When we got inside in-n-out, Cameron said to me, "mom, maybe we should buy him a hamburger." I was taken aback by the love my child has. So we ordered 1 hamburger to go. When we got it, I asked Cameron if he wanted to give it to the man or if I should, sure enough my bold boy wanted to do it. So we walked outside, and handed it to him. The man said thank you and asked Cameron for his name. After his response, Cameron asked him for his and they exchanged dialogue. After a couple minutes of Cameron chatting with Richard, a different lady brought over another hamburger. Cameron smiled, look at Richard and said "You sure are going to enjoy those two hamburgers." Richard said "I am going to suck them up like a hoover vacuum" and Cameron said "thats weird!" It was precious. We ended up talking to Richard for a while and hearing about his story, his struggles, his addictions, and we prayed for him. Yup, you guessed it Cameron wanted to pray for him too. I am so grateful for Cameron and the love he has for others, without judging, or being scared.

Mexico Trip 2010

On Friday 90 of us are heading South of the Border to Ensenada! I am so excited to get to go for my 2nd year as a leader. I'm sure this trip will be so different, but that is the most amazing part of it. Really seeking after what God wants out of it, and doing His will. Last year was such a blessing for me, and i built some amazing relationships with the hs students. I can't wait to do that again - grow in my current relationships and build new ones! Please pray for us while we are there. Thank you so much!

Cameron's First Time Ice Skating

Katie and I took Cameron ice skating for the first time. He loves hockey, and ice skating, and since we did this, he asks me every day if we are going to go ice skating again! After two times around the rink with help, he was ready to venture off on his own! so talented! In this video he is doing his cute dance moves (of course, i'm egging him on!) I hope you find it as funny as I do! Sorry it's sideways. I don't know how to fix it!

Note of Encouragement

I found this paper at work this week. It is from the fall retreat that I went on with all the Young Adults. Everyone had a piece of paper with their name on it, and people throughout the weekend could write words on the paper. It was such a blessing for me to find this and remember truth about who I am. I am a daughter of The King, and will always cling to His promise for me.

Cameron's Pirate Song

Cameron decided to make up a song about pirates. In the beginning of the song while singing, he burps so he starts singing excuse me. Then he wants everyone to clap there hands. Performer? I think so! I love him! The last 2 minutes are the best! :)

It's a New Year

Well, it's been 2010 for a month and a half already, and I still haven't posted a blog. yes, I know. I have been WAY BEHIND. So, instead of trying to play catchup, I am just going to forget about everything I was going to post and start with this year. I promise to do my best at staying current. A lot of things have happened lately, Cameron turned 4 at the end of January. He is still making up songs, and making me laugh all the time. I'm so blessed. That's it for now - but I'll be blogging soon! :)
